I'm trying to plan for the future so I want some feedback on the setup
2.3L stroker(hevent decided to go 6 or 7 bolt yet depends on $)
1g head ported to the max
3 or 5 angle valve job
FP3 cams? help on those would be good
SBR stage 3 stroker kit(wiseco pistons slowboy rods 8.5:1 comp and .40 over bore???)
3g lifters
double valve springs
1mm oversized ss valves
titanium retainers
MLS head gasket
arp head studs
everything blue printed and balanced
then right away I'll be running a ported 2g manifold n/t tb and a ported small 16g
1000cc injectors
dsmlink(by end of the week)
and eventually a gt35r? open for suggestions
What do you think? Missing anything? Change anything? Remember this is the plan for next year so I have alot of time to plan

Been their, done that, doesn't work that way. Plans change as reality sets in. Shoot for fuel mods first, then head, then drivetrail, then turbo. Consider down time into the equations becasue a Gt35 will rip your drivetrain to peices..

Well here is the thing. Next summer I'm taking high performance engine building and I'll be building my motor however I want with grants and such from the school so that is why I'm saying this. I know a gt35 will tear everything apart that is why I'll be running a 16g for the first year or so until I get everything else buttoned up. Yeah I forgot to list fuel mods for that I'm thinking a 255hp relocating the filter and redoing the lines while the motor is out. Granted this is my wish list but the motor will be happening pretty much however I want it to and then from there its just a matter of time. And I know things will inevitably change but I just want some opinions and to make sure I'm on the right track.

hmm looks strickingly similar to what i'm doing right now. The only input i really have is that dual springs will not be necessary because you won't be reving that high. I got some crower springs which darren at ffwd connection would be more than enough with cams. You might want to look into ffwd connection's stroker kit's they're a really good company. Talk to darren he'll give you a lot of tips on what part to buy (even if you don't plan on getting them from him). ffwdconnection.com

Looks like a good setup, but it's not going to be quite fast enough. It'll be close, but just not quite there ;)

I wouldnt waste your time on the crower springs. I read somewhere that they are only 3% stiffer. I would get dual springs. I think they will hold better to the cam since the FP3's are quite a bit lumpier than stockers even if you dont rev it too high (Kevin ran his 2.3l stroker with 272's to 8500 on stock springs/retianers, just FYI). Dont forget you'll need a heftier clutch. Also, I would look into a tubular manifold with manifold mounted wg and a SMIM. A GT35r will probably want a built tranny too.

thanks for the input guys. I was thinking a sbr 4000clutch and a shep stage 2 or 3 tranny

I think I am getting an SBR clutch, probably the 3500 though. Fuck the stage 2-3, schools paying right? Dogbox all the way! ;)
