Final Minnesota Meet Information

Just to recap the "Mn Meet. If you live in MN or close to it click here" thread we have decided to hold what I believe to be the first "AF DSM MN MEET" :grinyes:

HERE IS/ARE THE DETAILS:

WHERE: Plymouth MN
WHEN: JUNE 30th 2006 @ 12:00 (noon)
WHY: WHY NOT?

BBQ/GRILL/meet: (12-?) 5.00 all you can eat (hotdogs) and drink
CRUISE: (?-?) cruise around plymouth and surrounding areas in a DSM pack.

AFTER BBQ AND CRUISE:

we are looking into a dyno day at LSE Performance (post if interested in dynoing your car) it will be around 60 bux.

OR

VALLEY FAIR (dont think there will be time for valley fair and dyno time)

POST IF YOU ARE COMING AND IF YOU WANT TO EITHER DYNO OR GO TO VALLEY FAIR.

we need at least 6 people to get the discount on the dyno.

If I go I'll be down for either, being as they would probably cost the same anyways :) But I already know how slow my RS is so I pick Valley Fair.

I don't think my car will be done by the 30th. I think i'll have to sit this one out :(

If the Talon is done (I dont see how it wont be, I have a month to do it) I will be there. I doubt I will want to dyno it, I dont really want to dyno it until it gets its setup done/mostly done. My buddy Mike will probably come if his car decides to quit being a bitch. Also another guy, Matt, will probably come in his sick 1g and Shawn might come with his crazy boosted 420a neon. I figure you guys might like to see what a 420a can do.

I can post this on a MN based DSM forum, I bet we could get a lot more people that way.

Do that Thor and see if we cant get more people. I think my vote is valley fair because it is cheaper and there is hot chicks there:) What about a hotel?

I started threads on tuners and on 507 so well see what we get

I got pricing through one of the managers for around 70 bux a night (vs. $105).

Here is how the hotel situation will work:
I need to call the Director of sales tomarrow, and I will reserve 10 rooms for June 30th. After I do this I will give out further information. You will call the hotel at least 3 days in advance and mention you are in the DSM group and give them your information to reserve the room and lock in that price.

I second that. I'll be there with 2 or 3 guests and maybe a hotel but not for sure yet on that

Just so you know, I will be there with as many as like 5 guests, or as little as none. Cars arent running and people have to work. I'll see whats up. I probably wont need a hotel. I am going to the U of M this fall and so is a cousin that I didnt know about. Well, parents and her parents want us to get together this summer and walk around campus and talk. Soo, I think that we'll get this worked out so I can do both rather than have to take a few days off of work. I think I will go down on Thursday and hang out with her, stay the night with them, and come to the meet on Friday. I will probably have to head home at like 9-10. I'll let you know on the head count as soon as I know whats up.

I may or maynot have the talon. I hope so but I have an oil leak and now I think a boost leak. All I know is I heard something pop while boosting and trying to show off and there is usually when it happens so I said fuck it I dont care I'll fix it later

I'll be able to swing by for a bit on my way to work..... would be nice to meet some local DSM'rs and some not so local too..... sorry I can't party like a rockstar... gotta work to pay them bills.....

I extended the invite to the rx7 guys, Lets just make it a car meet since i only know of 5 DSMers for sure...It will be held at french lake park (in plymouth) at 12pm on the 30th...If you want a hotel for a discounted price I need to know by the 23rd.

I dunno, when I originally posted, nobody said anything about the date so I assumed it was ok...maybe we should change the date, I dunno.

I agree with a date change, I just have too much stuff going on between school admission and farm work and shit. I think later in the summer would be alot better, like mid-late July.
