front bumpers vs front bumper covers

im trying to buy a 99 front bumper on ebay to replace my 95. and they have listed front bumper covers for like $100 vs paying more for a front bumper, it also says that ther primed, which leads me to believe that its a bumper, but the word cover leads me to believe its like a bra, i need just a little help

What are the links to the items you are looking at?

E-mail them and ask them. They're either selling the bumer reinforcement (fiberglass bumper cover reinforcement) or the actual cover itself, but you should probably ask them, they will know for sure. I really don't like how the EBay companies throw terminology around so loosely just to try and get you to buy their parts, even if they are the wrong ones.

To get technical no. It is a bumper cover. A "bumper" is the fiberglass bar under the bumper cover. But yes that is the plastic front end that you are looking for to do a 95 to 97-99 conversion. I will be doing a swap soon too btw. Let us know how it works out for ya.

just to let you know if u have a 95 eclipse and u still have the 95 headlights the 97-99 bumper will not work with those headights u have to have the 97-99 headlights

I think everyone and their grandmothers know that! I wanted to put that soooo bad but I figured the way I word things, it would make me sound like a complete dickhead, so I just went the easy way. But you are "technically" correct.
