335Xi trip computer (2002)

I am currently shopping for what I hope ends up to be the 325Xi. I am kicking myself for not playing with this on my test drive ( in a city about 1 1/2 hours away ) but what are the actual functions of the trip computer? The brochure only mentions avg mpg, avg mph and distance till empty. Does it also have current mpg ( at this moment ) and/or anything else ?

as i remember, it also has temperature and time. the current mpg can be seen on the dial within and below the rpm dial. it has an arm that moves as you press on the gas, you you can see your current mpg. it is useful when you have the cruise control on, so you can see your highway mpg at the moment.

I had missed the needle gauge in the picture, that reminds me of a vacuum gauge from
a 79 chevy of mine, anybody know if this one is more sophisticated than that?

I inquired at a dealer, and they told me that the master mechanic said it was a digitally
driven gauge that counted fuel injector pulses.
