Nope IMO the evo 3 big 16g ported is better than them. But thats just my :2cents: . They may disagree on here with me but the evo 3 will put out 400HP!!!

Did you even read the description? It said how much power they made at different boost levels and at 15 psi the bigger one made 330. I think it would top out closer to 380 or so on higher boost and more aggressive tune, but I dont really have any reason to believe that. Personally, I would go MHI evo 3 16g. Remember, 400 hp on the evo 3 isnt common. To my knowledge, its only been done twice with all the bolt ons (including SMIM and cams), with a pretty severe tune and a shit ton of boost.

a 20g is an overpriced 50 trim.

I'll make it three before i get a larger turbo, i have all those mods plus more and with the extra displacement and higher compression (9:1), I think i'll be around 400 whp maybe not i'm not sure.

a 20g is an overpriced 50 trim.

I went significanly faster on the 20g than I did on the 50 trim. Now, there is no real logical reason for this, but it just occured to me when I read this. I know my setup was still pretty weak on the 50 trim. In my humble opinion, the extra cost is worth it for poeple that prefer a non-hybrid turbo that bolts on. Whenever parts have to be modified, usually the turbine housing, there is always room for variability. I try to stick to full mitsu of full garret turbos whenever I can, since all of the parts used together were meant to be together, all with a predictable level of quality.

For the hybrid 50 trims, they range from 700 for SBRs housing, 800 for bulseye, nearly 900 for PTEs, and over 800 even for a full t3 garret. How SBR does it so cheap is a mystery to me, but naturally they want to push thier turbo I'd guess. The standard mitsu 20g is 900. So it's certainly not outrageously priced. I would spend the extra 100 for the 6H option, which pushes the cost out of the range of the 50 trims. But as I said above, that would be worth it to me to run the correct housing with the turbine wheel (they are designed for each other by each respective manufacturer).

So now we're talking 300 at most between the 6H20g and the SBR 50 trim, which is at least worth talking about. But for all the poeple that buy one of the other two closing the gap to ~100 bucks, I don't see the reasoning. With all the money poeple spend on these cars, what's 100-200 bucks in what is probably the most important and most fragile piece in the setup? :)

Of course, this is not to say that the 20g will last longer than the 50 trims, or that the 50 trims are handicapped because they use turbine housings their turbine wheels were never designed to work with. It's just something to think about, and something for me to ramble on about in my early morning boredom. :)
