I am posting this thread to anyone who is interested in getting Japanese Automotive parts from Japan. I prefer customers from the U.S. since I am american. Anything from repair parts for a import car to tunning parts. Just let me know what you are looking for and I will give you a quote on how much it will cost. :D

How about finding a good used Skyline?

As far as an engine for a prelude goes, I would have no problem finding one, it is just the shipping that would be too much. I am looking at more towards smaller accessory parts such as intakes, suspension, engine parts, electrical components etc. As far as finding a very good used skyline GTR, I could do that and have it shipped to California. For example, I could find a very good 93' or 94' r32 GTR in Mainland for around $13,000 dollars plus shipping $1000.00, and don't forget the U.S. customs import duty tax which is 2.5% of the value of the car ($325.00),
my fee for doing this (7.5% of the purchase price of the car in Japan
$950.00) and finally the infamous MotoRex fee of converting the car (16,000). That comes out to a grand total of $31,275. Is it worth it? I think so. You tell me. MotoRex is selling the same r32's from $41,000 to $56,000. Either way you would be making out. And I am very serious about this offer. I am willing to find the car and export it from Japan. I will give you in depth specifications on the car and pictures. I will be in Japan until Feb 2003. That's my six year mark in Japan. The military won't let me stay any longer. :flash:

It's the code for the engine in his Acura (Honda): J-series 3.2L engine. The last part is specific to the application. In Japan the TL is the same as the Honda Saber or Inspire, or both.

J32A1 = Acura TL, Honda Inspire, Honda Sabre
J32A2 = Acura TL Type-S

Right now the only mod that really adds horsepower/torque are Comptech headers. Everything else, CAI, exhaust don't really help. Just wondering if there are companies in Japan that are working on bigger and better things (forced induction). Thanks a lot!
