exhaust

I put my new exhaust on today (a bosal/brospeed catback) and when I drove around I found that it was as quiet as my stock system was. A friend of mine told me that after I drive it for a while it will get louder. I don't want it to sound like an obnoxious rice burner, but I would like to think that the almost $400 that I spent was worth it, and part of the reason I got the catback was so my car would sound good. Anyways I was wondering if anyone had the bosal exhaust and if it does get louder after its been driven for a while.

My neighbor used to have a bosal catback and it sounded pretty good. Not too loud or obnoxious. However, since it was constructed of mild steel it rusted out pretty quickly and he replaced it with a Thermal R&D system. An exhaust takes a little while to break in and the tone will depend on your other mods. :)

Most all exhaust will get louder after the muffler gets heated up and cools down a few times and burns of the the packing up. Give it a week or two.

To this day my Exhaust sounds different some times, I have no idea why, sometimes it's quiet, sometimes it's really loud. I think it might depend on how hot it is outside though.

Thanks. My exhaust is stainless steel so I shouldnt have the rusting problems.
