I decided......I am going to sell my GSX.
So I need to get some ideas on how much I could sell it for to see if it would be worth selling or just garaging it somewhere.
How much would you pay for:
1995 GSX, M/T, 108,000 Miles
BRAND NEW black paint job
BRAND NEW Exedy stage 2 organic clutch
no interior defects
BRAND NEW Timing Belt
No leaks in the engine at all
Brand new bosch platimun spark plugs
Strong Turbo with no shaft play
The Engine is mostly stock except of course for a new MAS intake and plugs and a tial BOV
Basically a perfect GSX with just some miles on it.
Give me some ideas on how much I could sell this for. I don't have pictures because the paint isn't done yet..but if someone is going to buy it ...I would get it done.
I just need to know if I should keep it or not:uhoh:
Lemme know!

I would probably pay about 6gs for it if everything is in excellent condition. I'm sure you would probably be able to get a little more though maybe upwards of 7gs. When I went to a dealership to find a gsx they had a 95gsx with about 90k miles on it basically all stock and they wanted 9gs for it. I guess the price would all depend on where you live. Where I live(southern PA) turboed dsms are kinda rare.

Around here you could get anywhere from $5-5.5k assuming everything is as you say it is. The car books for about $4.5k, but turbo DSM's are rare so you would get top dollar in good condition (Wisconsin). A lot depends on location.
On a side note, get those damn bosch platinums out of there if you know what's good for you. Seriously.

why you want to sell it ? cause some kid broke in your car ??

No the cd player is replaceable. The reason I want to sell it is so I can stop focusing on things I can buy for it and focus on other things in life. I figure if I get a honda civic or a new taurus or something, I will never have to worry about the car, or where to go to fix it if something happens (since no one works on them except some dealerships PLUS the fact I don't know hot to do most things on them). I need to save up now instead of putting my money into an eclipse so when I am older I can own a porsche or a ferrari or something.,..along with a nice house
P.S. What's wrong with platinums all my friends said they are good?

So they aren't good for turbo cars because they can hurt something or they aren't good for turbo cars because they aren't good enough?
What plugs should I get then?

Turbo cars will eat platinum plugs really fast, and they just don't do well.
If your under 15 psi, use NGK BRP6ES.
If your over 15 psi, use NGK BRP7ES.

that's funny...NGK's were in there when I put the boschs in. It was havin some problems when I accelerated and it did fix the problem. Would auto zone have those NGK's or would I need to get them offline?

So overall do you think it would be worth it to put almost new everything on there (breaks, timing belt, paint, plugs, etc) and then trying to sell it? Or should I just garage it and save it for days I get pissed and need something quick to drive and take my anger out on?:evillol:

That's my vote. And if you do decide to sell it, shame on you for thinking about a Honduh or a damn Taurus. At least get a Cobalt SS or something that would be even comparable to a turbo DSM, even if it is on a scale 1/8th the size. :p

No, sorry about that. I wrote it in a tense to try to avoid confusion. I just wanted to see how much I could sell it for in that condition. If someone gave me an offer or if I were seeing interests from people that wanted to buy it, I would immediately go and get everything done brand new. That's why I wrote how much would you pay for my eclipse if it has this and this and this...

Wait, what's your vote? Selling it or kkeeping it? I asked two questions lol.. but anyway...what's wrong with a honduh or a taurus? I mean the new tauruses are clean...room in the backseat..honda's I won't have to worry about..I drive back and forth from North Carolina pretty often so I just want a car I don't have to worry about.
Sure I wouldn't mind getting cobalt SS or an SRT4 or something along those lines but it's just too much money. I want like a Jetta turbo diesel that gets 60 mpg or whatever. Me and a friend went to the auto show in one of those..we drove from muskegon, MI to detroit ...that's like 220 or so miles...we went all the way there..and all the way back and still had a quarter tank left. I would have had to fill up at least 4 times for that trip:banghead:

My vote is to keep it and get just a reliable DD, it doesn't have to be something brand new. If you are ok with getting a Honduh, then a late 90's would be a good car for you. I think I would cry the day that my last DSM went out the door, but I know that'll never happen so I'm not worried. ;)

You could always downgrade to a N/A DSM to save on gas. I get 32+ mpg on the interstate, 24-25 city, and about 26-27 highway.

To me, if a DSM is not a turbo, it's not worth buying. The only reason most people put up with problems of DSMs is because of the fact that it IS a turbo. If I am going to spend money on a N/A car, it's going to be one that will drive with minimal maintenance.

upgrade those plugs like I told you on AIM, the best plugs wires I heard are magnacore, but I don't really know. Plus when I get up to CMU what are we going to work on? Your HUNDUH?

Most people who have problems with DSM's ARE turbo. I haven't had any problems beyond broken door handles and belt squeels.

Well I just meant that it's worth the time (more or less) if it IS turbo. The reason why you havn't had a broken door handle is probably because you don't live in northern Michigan during the winter. Besides I don't know what you're talking about belt squeels...I havn't had that either...unless you were just stating an example.
So my apartments are out in the country kinda..and there is this windy road I was walkin by today. And all of a sudden I hear this SDHZHZHHHHH sound like a fricken jet flying over my head or something. I look back and it's a shiny red supra. It was prolly goin 90 or so on this windy road...tight ass suspension..and just a tight ass in general. Then a taurus drives by with a dorky lookin guy in it. I say to myself, "Son of a bitch." I don't know if I can sell my Eclipse now...I know it really "can't" by as fast as a supra...but shit...now what:disappoin

Actually, you can make your 2g pretty damn fast, you don't want to be the flamer in the non turbo car, it will make you cry. If I bring my car up to college, I'll show you what you can do haha

You read my post wrong. I said problems beyond belt squeels and broken door handles. I have had both. And I live in Wisconsin, it gets cold during the winter.
