Having problems with my fan blower motor. Speeds 1 & 2 don't work but 3, 4,5 work no problem but no A/C. Does this mean my resistor is gone?

This part is located right next to the blower motor?

Replace blower motor resistor and now speeds 1 & 2 work fine. Not bad went to GM and bought the part for 33$ and installed myself took 30 minutes.

Speed setting 1 on my fan stopped working. From this post....I assume its the resistor.
Can anyone tell me where the resistor is located? What do I have to take apart to get to it?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks Shawn

I had the same problem, speed 1 did not work. Bought the resistor for $30 bucks and replaced, works fine now.
This is located on the passenger side under the Glove Box. You have to remove plastic cover, I think there was three screws holding it on. Then you can see the resistor, I believe that the resistor was held in with 2 screws. The hardest part was getting to the clip that held in the plug. All-in-all took about 20 minutes to replace.
