Also I had some problems with the car and they are fixed now.( thermostat removed, new exhaust gasket, new headgasket, radiator flushed, new valve cover, new oil cap ) Only one problem left. As you can see in the picture where my intercooler pipes are, when I boost over 10 pounds the couplers come off. I think the brackets are not strong enough. Where can I get some? Come on guys, I need to get the beast to the tracl this wednesday and get some times. I get more pics tommorow since the car is getting carwashed and some new stuff :).

Yeah same color as clipsekid99 and my front passenger seat is in the garage. I dont want it and I am replacing it with racing seat. I try to get a movie soon.

But can any one with FMIC piping help me out with the couplers, because mine just keep coming off when I hit high boost. Any suggestions ?

me too, since my driver seat is torn, im go ahead looking for factory black leather seat or replace it with a racing seat.

I think the coupler keeps comming off because you might not have no lip on the pipe so the coupler does not slide off. What i did was take a pair of good pliers and flair the end of the pipe out a little and never had the probelm again after that. I did not have a FMIC mine was doing it after i removed that stupid black box.

MAF/MAS - Mass-Air-flow Sensor ?? is that what you mean ?

The device used to measure volume of air being consumed by the engine. DSM cars use a specific type of sensor called a "Karman Vortex airflow sensor". The upper inlet of the sensor has an obstruction in the airflow path that generates a constant stream of vortices (think of them as miniature tornadoes) directly behind the obstruction. The velocity of the incoming airflow determines rate at which these vortices are spun off. By placing an ultrasonic speaker and microphone across the stream of vortices, their rate can be counted. (the vortices spin off in alternating directions and thereby produce a alternating FM shift of the received signal from the speaker) In addition to measuring incoming airflow velocity, the mass airflow sensor unit also measures air temperature and the local barometric pressure in order to provide the ECU all the data it needs to do a true determination of the MASS of the air that the engine is consuming.

Generally speaking, Mass Airflow measurement is more precise than the speed-density system which has been largely replaced in newer automotive designs. Its (MAF) calibration is not affected when mods that change the engines volumetric efficiency are performed.

Yes it could, but it could also be other things too. Might as well do a boost leak test anyways to see if you do in fact have any leaks.

I tried to search around and I could not find the parts I need to build a boost leak tester. I have seen people say that they build one for fairly cheap and they are somewhat accurate. Any one that can please post a link to the parts I need and where to get em ?

What did you use for the boost leak tester ? Can you tell me what parts I need. As for the seat, make me an offer, but since you guys are always helping me I get it out of here cheap. I really dont need it so if any one wants it. I will post a picture tomorrow.

There are metal epoxies that you can use to make a bead around the pipe. Also you should use t-bolt clamps, they can hold 10x better than worm clamps.
