My dad was wondering, not I... can you turbo a 883 Harley?

Definitely yes, not sure about the model, but I met a rider once who dropped quite a dough to bring his Harley up to what he claimed 12 sec bike.

My dad might be interested in supping up his 883. I'm not sure if he's serious or not though.

Tell your dad to get a set of thunder heads, pistons and cams (stock on late 90's to early 2000's Buell) before the XB. Try and find a 1999 M2 or X1 this will give him the power he wants, I know and have worked with turbo's on HD and you really need a high reving engine to make it work the best. If he cannot find the thunderheads get the heads and valves from a 1203 sporty.

Yup, turbo is pretty much an exercise in futility on a Sporty. For half what you'd pay to have that done you could put in a killer 1200 (or 1340) kit, and some bumpy cams and so on, and get the HP up in the eighties or better.

Superchargers are much better suited to Harley motors, as far as boost goes....

My '99 XL1200C could run low 12's with very limited mods (under $2000 in parts):screwy:
