Bad Ignition Coil

I have 98 intrigue, everytime i press the accelerator, there is a lag, or like not enough power, service engine light came on, so i heard that AutoZone does free code checks, and found out that it was a bad ignition coil. I picked the new one up, just wondering if the repair is something i can do myself, is it hard...easy, if not, how much would i expect at a repair shop. Also if anyone has a link on repairs let me know, I'm kinda new so any help would be cool. I noticed alot of people like helping eachother on here.
