killing clutter

a friend of mine bought a first gen eclipse, its front drive turbo (gs? or gsx?) and he hates how cluttered everything appears.... does anyone have any ideas on what to move to free up engine compartment space ( im not sure what he's planning with it but he is looking to clear space in general. i told him ild ask you guys seeing as i vaguely remember mine. if you have any ideas... lemme know.

Pull out the motor, then you'll clear up alot. :)

What do you mean it's cluttered? You could remove some shields and stuff and the AC which would eliminate some lines, but other than that there isn't much to eliminate. Maybe power steering but who wants to drive around without power steering?

Is it the engine bay thats cluttered? It must be a GST, turbo FWD. Obviously to make room,you need to take shit out. Unless he wants to loose things such as power steering, AC, cruise control, etc, tell him to buck up ;).

All the soledois along the firewall can be removed as well as the charcoal canister. You might get a check engine light (not sure on the 1gs) Move the battery to the hatch. get a fmic with short route piping, smim, coil on plug ignition, those are just some random suggestions to help.

it is a turbo, and as vaguely as i remember the compartment... it didnt appear he would be able to pull out anything or reroute without some major thinking.
