Thought I would give an update on my 95, van. Valves were sticking on 3 & 5. That was also were the breach was on the intake gasket. Farmed out the valve job and after receiving the heads put it all back together with every sensor replaced. New radiator and water pump. New A/C comp, dryer orafice filter and high side line.
All prior symptoms are gone. great power, no bucking, no sucking from the oil fill on the valve cover, no whines, incredible fuel economy and A/C for the first time since I got this thing 3 years ago.
Thanks to all that help with advice and parts info.

We're glad to hear you got it going stgninja. Sounds like it became quite the beast of a project, but you should be good for a whole lotta miles now that it's done. You're welcome.

Actually not so much of a beast after all. Because I still had to work load-ins and shows plus the wait for parts and reconditioning, I could only do about 4 hours at a time. Took it slowly and methodically, cleaning parts while waiting for new parts. It gave me a big boost of confidence to get it right on my first attempt at something like this.
