have any of you ever heard of the Nurburgring 24Hr race? attracts more people than any other motorsport event in the world. Held at the famous Nurburgring full circuit at the end of May every year. Any car can enter, i have seen VW camper vans racing alongside 1000hp Vipers. My dad was in a team there the past 3 years, it is a great event to watch due to the variety and scale of it, anyone else ever heard anything of it?

well he mechanics for a British team that he has known for years. they use a Vauxhall (Opel) Vectra. They finished 40th or 41st this time i think, which was good considering they had a blow out at 140mph which ripped away everything around the wheel. the car i relatively low developed engine wise, but the suspension is pretty much near top development. the team have a website at www.lloydracing.com , and they also have a piece about the car somewhere on ththe 24h-rennen website. i dunno where cos i cant speak german and its just guesswork as to where i end up on that site. they have a 4WD 600+hp Escort Cosworth they are entering into the 4 and 6 hour event later this year. this should be in with a good chance of being in the top 10. anything else you wanna know just ask

yeh its at the Nuburgring, but instead of just the Grand Prix circuit you will see watching F1, they also use the full Nordschliefe circuit that they built years ago and is 11.6 miles long. it is often used for testing as its meant to be the hardest circuit in the world. There are alot of different classes yeah, starting at about 20 second intervals, but they do all race together as they get mixed in with each other.
