Wondering what happen to my Revell ITR with the weird JDM and Mugen conversion? Well, I got tired of waiting for putty to dry, LOL. So it'll be on hold for the moment. This is what I'm busy with these days:

The base model Skyline is powered by RB20 and RB25, but the GT-R is powered by RB26DETT.

Whoa. I want one of those engines too. From what i've heard from you guys, most skyline kits are curbside rite? It would be cool to throw in an engine into some cars. Maybe throw it in a silvia car. whoa, that would be cool.

A friend of mine bought '86 200SX back when we were still in college years ago. He said on the phone that there were 8 spark plugs on its engine, and I said no way. Well, he got a 200SX with Chevy v8 conversion, without knowing it. It was his first stick shift, but he never stalled the engine thanks to its massive torque. :)
Any swap can be possible in scale model, and that's one of many ways to enjoy our hobby.
Anyway, Tamiya makes R32, R33 and R34 GT-R, but only R32 comes with the engine.
Aoshima also makes R32 kit with engine, but not all of their R32 kit has it, so you have to be careful.
Fujimi makes R32, R33 GT-R, and R34 2.5 GT-S, but none of them have engine details.
Nissan didn't change the appearance of the engine room of the R33 and R34 so much, so the R32 parts can be used to detail those curbside models.

This Tamiya R32 GTR kit was made in 1989...atleast it has Copyright stamp saying that. Anyways, personally, from looking at pictures, I like how the Aoshima RB26 have more detail. Look at GTI1800's HKS R32 as an example:
