Electrical Burn... HELP

Ok. heres what is going on.. about a week ago I was going down the road and I relized the radio wasnt working in my 92 dodge ram charger. well not really worring about it, just put it aside thinking I blew a fuse.. well just the other day. I got under the dash I and sure enought I did blow a fuse.. so I replaced it and now I get the time or the radio stations kinda randomly and for example it It said 12:01 I just sits there until I shut off the truck.. well I figured that the stock radio had finaly gone out. so i didnt really worry about it. but today on the way to work. I could smell this electrical burn and I couldn't tell where it was comming from but just that I was really bad... I dont know if the radio is the cause. or if its comming from the stearing columb but im kinda afraid that im going to be driving and the truck is going to burst into flames... anyone have a simmar issue..

It probably won' t burst into flames...
Sounds like the radio burned up. Be sure it's not anything else. Check und the dash for hot wiring (I mean burned or melted wires, wires that are hot or maybe too hot under the dash.

Replace the radio, and test the speakers to make sure they weren' the cause.

Without seeing it, I can envision the audio output amplifier chip shorting out and burning out. This would blow the fuse, and after replacement of the fuse, it may get hot and smoke.

Of course, That's just whgat I can think of....
If it keeps smelling burnt, pull the radio fuse. The stench should go away in a few miles of driving.
