2004 Galant alternater

Help... Is there any other alternater that will fit my 04 galant besides the mitsubishi one. I cant seem to find a alternater no where except the dealer ship and they want $277.00 is the somthing else compatible or where can I get one cheaper. Or Would it be better to the alternater rebuilt.?? please help. thanks
