I just bought front and rear speakers to replace the stock speakers. I figured out how to access the front, but am having difficulties accessing the rear speakers. I can see them from the trunk, but I don't think I can replace them that way. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Thank you for such a prompt response! And thank you for the wonderful hospitality! I have tried to do search, although not very thorough since I'm at work... but I'll try again. Thank you.

Yeah, the rear seat needs to come out. I've done it on a 97 four door. Not difficult, but it's held in place by the seat belt retainer bolts. You'll need a torque wrench, and I believe a #47 Torx bit to get them out (and back in). Other than that, it's pretty straight forward. The speakers do in fact go in from the top.

Crutchfield (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-lcJ3N1Xu9br/) specializes in mail order do it yourself audio. One of the things they have availible are vehicle specific instalation guides, that tell you how to access the front and rear speakers, and the head unit. Call them up, tell them you're interested in buying a system and installing it yourself, and ask them to send you a catalog and instalation guide for your car. It'll tell you everything you need to know.

thats what I thought.

Trick is installing them from under the back panel, so if you need to access them again, it'll be much easier.

Thats Just my :2cents:

Wow! Crutchfield has a $600 DVD player for the GA's
