PLEASE help! No start/security light issue on 01' blazer.

Hi! I have a 2001 chevy blazer and got it abotu 3 yr ago. Well, shortly after I got it the sec light would come on ( I have no sec system so was told this is FACTORY) anyhow, took it to the chevy dealer and they said some wires were loose and the prob would not return. HA! A little less than a yr later it did..and happend here and there....woukld turn over, but not start...give it 15 min try again it would.

NOW, it is happ ALOT more often...and I am LATE for work, etc it is soo frustrating. I have taken it to a place that said they would DISABLE the security system and problem solved. THEY DID THIS. NOT SOLVED> It is doing it alot now.

I am so frustrated I need some opinions/help.

A new garage I called is suggesting replacing the ignition switch. ??? good idea or no?

Like I say, the sec light on my dash comes and goes....Not sure if related but what will happ is I go to start it, it will turn over but not start a cpl times so I let it set for 15 min go back it will start. BUT lately, it takes 2 times of going back to get it to start. UUGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead:

Im afraid of not only getting stranded but losing my job! Please help!!!!!!!
