you cant jus get help to draw cars from your imagination you have to train it, you have draw cars by looking at them for a long time then you will notice that your concept imagination is developing........

First of all, how would you answer your own question? Think about it..."How do I draw good"? What are we supposed to say? There is no magic formula that will make you draw like a pro overnight. You have to practice. And when I say practice, I mean learn your material, know how it works, look at different styes, and draw them first. Then move on to your own concepts and designs.

Please, before making anymore similar threads, read this thread:

I totally agree. JUST START DRAWING! At least if you provide us with some examples of your drawing, we can critique you and give you pointers. We can't just give you a step-by-step procedure for drawing a good picture. So, before you post any more of these threads, read that other thread, draw a little, and take some initiative to improve yourself.

Kustm: Amen to that.

However, there are a few rules that you can start with.

Sedan
-the wheelbase is 3 diameters of the wheel long. (draw 5 circles next to each other, all at the same size, on one line. Erase the three inner circles and you have the wheelbase.
- The c-pillar (that is the part between the rear side window and the rear window) is usually placed over and slightly behind the rear wheel.
- the a-pillar (that's where the side mirrors are mounted) is usually placed and angled in a position so that it would meet the center of the front wheel if it was lengthened.
-Connect the 2 centers of the wheels. This line is the lower door line.
- the car is between 2 and 2 1/3 of the wheel size high.
- The belt-line (that is somewhere where the windows begin and the doorhandles are) divides the car in 1/3 (window & roof) and 2/3 (doors, skirts)

Note that all these things are just guidelines. Your car can be designed differently but still look good. It's just a reference. They don't fit for a van and they don't fit for mid-engined cars.

Have fun.

hey m8,

keep practicing!! you're going the right way!!! You're much better than me when I started drawing cars!! And I can see on ur drawings that you really enioy the drawing!! just keep on practicing!! you will become a very good car drawer!!

and it's kinda hard to design a car, but I allways put down some lines and after a lot of quick sketches I'm going to mix all of my idea's and then there is one left!! or more...

keep the work comming and like I said before, keep practicing, thats the most important thing!! well, good luck with drawing all of ur next things!!!

Look, it would be easier for us if you could take a few minutes time to resize the pictures to a size that fits on the monitor, about 1024x768pxl. then you can also put them to your gallery. Also you can then post them here directly, not only the thumbnails.

If you want it straight, then here it is...

1) Work on your line quality. It's obviously pretty poor in these pictures. You should be drawing one line, for each line. Practice by moving your hand back and forth along the path you want to draw the line, several times before putting down the line. Once your stroke is confident, then put the line down. This takes a lot of practice, but it's the first step to making you drawings 100x better.

2) Check your proportions. In most of your drawings your wheels are very disproportionate to the car body. They are also not circular at all. By far, the wheels are the hardest to do (I still have a lot of trouble with them) but working on making them look right will go far. The windows are in the same situation, being that they are very disproportionate. The Porsche looks pretty good in these respects, but the windshield is caving into the passenger cabin. It should be curving outward.

3) Hold off on the body mods and paint. Adding these goofy looking things only add to the unprofessional look of your drawings.

This is all I can think of right now. You need a lot of work, but if you practice a lot things will improve pretty quick.
