The guys on Shadetree Mechanic/Crank 'N' Chrome [new name], the weekend TV show, put an LT-1 into a late-model S-10 Extreme. It was pretty involved, but still a bolt-in (including all drive train upgrades); only suspension mods called for the torch/welder.

If you're serious about a 350 swap, buy a copy of that episode(s).
