1998 Rodeo Fuel Pump Help

1998 Rodeo had fuel pump replaced becasue it would not start. Then fuel light would flash. So had the ECM reprogramed by the Dealer light went out fuel gauge worked. Travelled 2hrs shout truck off and not start. Then Fuel gauge showed empty, four wheel drive flashed and oil light was on. Checked oil all was good. waited 1 hr and truck started the truck stalled on me yesterday toowhen I was driving it. Now the truck is hard to start just like it did before I replaced the fuel pump. Can some one help me. The dealer says it is the computer. How ever there is no check engine light. Is there somthing IU am missing the engine is from a 2000 Rodeo. Does this matter. Did you replace the fuel filter? Also their is a recall on 98 for engine electrical harness, if it goes bad the symptoms are similar to yours.
