2001 silveardo 2500 hd 6.0

My truck just started doing this. In the mornings when I start it up and when it has sat for a few hours it actually has to crank over several times before firing up, as oppossed to turn the key and off you go. Anyone else had this problem or suggestions?

I have the same truck, only with the 8.1L and experienced the same problem a couple weeks ago, did yours throw the SES light? Mine did and it ended up being a bad cam sensor, had it replaced and starts fine now.

No ....no light yet, but I am guessing it won't be long. Thank you for the reply I will print it and speak to my machanic about it.
