stripped oil pan outlet hole, can't find any one that can verify what size pulg there is. some say 13mm, some 14, what do i need to do to fix this?
some say no problem just buy an oversize, but what oversize and what thread size? called chrysler and they don't know, all they said is we have the plug part # no sizes.
my car is a 1999 lhs with a 3.5 engin, can any one set me straight?

The oil plug is a 14mm x 1.5. I know because the same thing has happened (stripped pan threads) to me! The fix is pretty easy. I just put in a heli-coil. A heli-coil is a thread insert. You can find them in most well supplied parts stores. You need to buy the kit, not just the heli-coils themselves, because it contains everything you need to do the job, ie: the thread inserts themselves, the right drill, the tap, and the installation tool. I would suggest that you pressurize the crankcase some how. I did it with an air hose/nozzle down the dipstick tube. This will help with not getting to many chips in the pan. Good Luck!
