Can't make up my mind!!!

I can't make up my mind!! I want an 89-92 Mustang but, I want a LX coupe because of it's lightwieght and strength. Then I want a LX hatch for it's lightwieght but better looks. Then I want a GT for it's better looks overall. To throw another wrench in here, I want a convertable to drop the top, but do not want the added wieght and weak body of the conv.

I wouldn't mind getting a coupe then putting on a GT front clip on it. But then it would look unfinished w/out the sideskirts. So, I'd have to add those. But then with all that I might as well just get the GT. But it would still be alot lighter than a GT because it doesn't have all that extra glass from the hatch.

Maybe a good mix of everything would be to get the coupe, add a GT front clip, then leave the sideskirts off (if it looks OK), and also find one that has a sunroof. I'm looking for lightwieght and strength for dragracing and we all know the coupes are the best for that. I don't know what the hell I want, I sound like a damn woman.

I forgot to say, I DO NOT like aftermarket front clips that look like some kind of tuner car for the foxbody! I've seen the stalker front clip from Cervini and it looks OK, but I don't know if I could actually spend $$ on it. I'd like something different but, a subtle change, nothing too radical. I'd also like to add the ram air hood, maybe with just the GT clip would look good on a coupe? ANY SUGGESTIONS GUYS?????????? Or did I answer my own question? SORRY FOR THE BOOK!!!

im not diggin the hood quite so much... but yeah that notch does look great.

I saw a pic a while back on another forum of a coupe with a GT front clip. Looked good in my opinion. I'll see if I can find it.

BTW- I took the GT side skirts and that pos wing off of my car.

1st: Yes, they made a GT conv.
2nd: I just shot my load on my keyboard. That pic of the black coupe is almost better than sex!
3rd: I prefer a lower cowl but, that one just looks mean. I love the smoked headlights also!
4th: I don't think that's the GT clip on the orange one. It's missing the vent and the holes for the foglights.
5th: 351....If you had the GT clip on, the sideskirts wouldn't look too bad. How much do the skirts wiegh? As for your spoiler, I used to love the Saleen whale tail (I think that's what you have). But over the past few years, I just kind of like a nice clean look. Like I said before, I like subtle mods lately. You know, at first glance it looks stock, but wait...that cowl is a little higher. Or, Cobra R wheels, they're still silver or chrome 5 stars that are on a different style or year Mustang. So they kind of look stock....at first.

So do you like the cleaner look now? Or do you plan on doing something else with the car? AGAIN, LOVE THAT BLACK COUPE!!!! I'D TRADE MY WIFE FOR IT!!!!

When I'd done with my car it will look alot like that black coupe. Only with draglites instead of the cobra R's. I will probably change to Prostars or a nice set of 5 star Bogarts or something like that later. But it will be the cheaper welds for now. I have a 4" Harwood cowl hood on the car now too. But will probably have to cut a hole in it for the blower. I have a 351w in the car and the supercharger is on a 302 bracket. The 1.3" deck height difference stick the blower up there, and I may be upgrading to a YS blower on cogs before long so that just means it will be a little taller (bigger valute).

The GT side skirts are very lightweight. Mine where not in very good condition when you got upclose and started looking for small problems with them. They will be going to the junkyard unless someone local wants to get them outta my scrap pile.

I agree the LX's look better, nice clean look but, I don't think the GT's look "ghetto". Sometimes I think the GT's look better cause they're not as boaring. But when it comes down to it I'd have to go with the LX.

Yes, GHETTO :D IMO of course. I have always hated the way they look. Its not my ride. I do a lot of things to my cars that people hate, to each his own. No worries, I say get the best car you can buy, point blank.

Nah, after seeing that black coupe I've decided.....I'm getting a black coupe. I've always loved black and coupes. The only thing I hate about the coupe is that you don't have much space in the trunk. That's why I like the hatch better. I also liked the hatches looks better. I've owned both and I couldn't fit everything in the trunk to go to the track. I could get one rim w/slick on it and the jack and a small cooler in the trunk, then I had to put the other slick in the backseat along with the other stuff. With the hatch just put down the seats and get everything back there. But, I want the lighter wieght of the coupe and done right, like that black one they just look mean!!

Coupes, of course as you know, have more rigidity as well. Lighter, stronger, and look awesome when done right, just need to make sure its an LX :D

I do not like the look of a Fox body, that is why I sold my LX. With that being said, I really do like the look of that coupe. Yes, I agree it looks awesome!

What's the difference between yours and the black coupe? Is it that yours on the sides is angled and the black ones is straight up on the sides? I usually don't like a cowl but, they both look good to me. I usually prefer the ram air hood or Storman Norman ram air hood.

Ya mine (Harwood) has the angled sides. Allows for a little more hood clearance and I just think they give it a meaner look. Purely my opinion though.

Nope, never will I own one again. The cars build quality is crap. I will always use the drive train though, because their build quality is very good. I love the Ford drive trains. That is why I am putting one in a GTR. The GTR build quality is excellent, as well it should be, since they cost $50,000 brand new.
