That really doesn't help me , there usually aren't any jeep cjs on there, and if there are, the owners are asking too much for them.

If they're asking too much, then you might have to save up a bit more money before making your purchase. Jeeps, especially Wranglers/CJs, tend to hold their value pretty well.
Sorry the website didn't help you out, but I'm in Virginia and don't know the local situation. You might try driving to various used car dealers and checking the paper for vehicles in your area. Also, you might try www.kbb.com (http://www.kbb.com) to see what vehicles should be selling for in your area.
Beyond that, I can't say. Good luck with your search.

Yeah jeeps are hard to come by here. Pretty much everyone that has one doesn't want to sell it or wants anywhere between 4-6 grand for one that is pretty rusty. And everytime one is for sale for a decent price, everyone jumps on it. Thanks for the help tho.

You're welcome. Have you considered looking further away than 300 miles? If you could get a good deal on one, the airfare and gas to bring it back might make it cheaper overall. (Of course you could always go for a newer Wrangler)
See ya.
See ya.

I bought my last 2 vehicles off ebay. You can narrow your search to as close or as far as you like. I found the exact Grand wagoneer I wanted online and it was for sale at a Honda dealership 5 minutes away from where I worked. A month later I got a note on my windshield from the guy who owned the wagon before. I called the number and got all the receipts for the wagon for the past 10 years. Ebay has been good to me. Check it out and schedule a time to inspect the vehicle before the auction ends so you can bid on it. The owner will be very accomodating.
