Brakes Pulsing

Looking for some help. I have a 2000 Ranger 4x4 XLT. The problem is this...when I pull into a parking space with the wheel turned to the left and apply the breaks, the pedal wants to kick back at me, pulsing. If I apply it slowly, it doesn't do this. I can overcome this by pressing down on the break harder. This also happens when I come to a stop or light with the wheel turned slightly left. Is this a sensor issue? Fluid levels are good and I don't have any squeeking or grinding of the breaks. Also, it does not do this when I turn to the right.

Sounds like you have an ABS sensor problem. You will want to get it scanned because there are three on the Ranger and the only one that is cheap is the one in the rear differential housing. Let me know what you find. MM

ya. it sounds like the wire is getting pinched or something. is your ABS light on? also, the lower ball joints wear out around 75,000 miles so if you hear a creaking sound when you turn the wheel or go over bumps it's time to replace.

That's interesting. The ABS light is not on, but I am hearing a creaking sound when I turn or go over bumps.
Are these an expensive fix? Is it safe to say it's the left one if it only happens when turning left?
