1998 Malibu

My 1998 Malibu will not start after several tries. the theft system lights keeps flashing on the dashboard.

3 years ago, I paid the dealership over 1200.00 Cdn to correct the problem.

I am very hesitant to take it back.

I have called a few mechanics. they advised that only the dealership can fix the problem.

I called afew dealers and they hovering about 1200.00 (parts $labor) to fix it again.

Is there another way to fix this problem without paying these massive amounts of money, the pars alone id about 500 dollars, Coding 50 .00 and labor, 3 hours plusd the computer diagnostis test for a situation already known.

Help, any advise any one? . I already had to replace the blower resister myself to save a few hundred. So I am willing to try something.

I have lots of information on different ways to bypass the system, too much to put on this forum. I got it all off the web, so if you google you should be able to come up with the same information I got.:grinyes:
