Wheel HOP :(

Hey guys, every time, well, MOST of the time when i rev about 4Grand or so and Drop it, i peel out, but its like all Wheel hop and my Center Vent pops right out into the passenger side seat! I really dont care about the center vent, but i wanna eliminate the Wheel Hop! I got a new clutch in this car, and its AWSOME! Its a Exedy Clutch! Well, anyways, i have just got new shocks and springs, which i have not installed yet, do you guys think this will solve the problem? Or no? Do any of you guys have this problem? Thanks Guys!

Oh, one more thing, i recomend this clutch to anyone who needs a new one, or jsut wants an upgrade, this thing peels the fuck out in first and second! Moderators, sorry about the language! Well, just wanted to tell you how good this Clutch is!

i never heard of any front wheel drive car not hoping off the line. when i go to the drags all the fwd cars wheel hop. i kinda like it when they do it, sounds cool
i saw this thing in a magazine once, its like a front crossmember or something but that suppose to eliminate wheel hop

A lot of things help eliminate wheel hop.. Strut bars, motor mounts, shocks, etc..
I think more than likley what is killing you is your sidewall height.. Trust me, I have all that shit and 205/40s and a B16 that likes to rot tires off and still get wheel hop. If its not raining when I wake up I'll head to the track with my steelies and let you know if if it makes a difference. I think the smaller sidewalls don't let the tires flex enough I was told by some experienced drag racers last time I was out.

Yeh i'm getting exedy also...hopefully by next week! Oh i'm also getting the fidanza "7lb" chromoloy flywheel! Oh about ur wheel hop u can get the motor mount inserts for like 40 bucks at any performance shop. SUPPOSEDLY it helps prevents the "wheel hop" .

Z10 crossmember...excellent piece. ;) When I get the money this is what I am getting. Motor mounts and shocks help a lot as well.

just rev a bit higher hehe .... then again i dont have a prob lighting my wheels up at 4 grand... but then again they r bald hehe ..... that reminds me gotta buy some new tyres..... oh yeah im running on stock 13s hehe

in second gear, I forgot to add this. Sometimes third but very rarely, I usually have fat wheel hop problems also.

dude.. I think a lot of people have a lame ass attitude toward drag racing. They think its too easy, and they go to the track and run 16s with thier ZC CRXs.. I've seen it all too much.

maybe im mis understanding, but to me it seems like the original post said something like 4grand and drop the clutch.. clutch dumping is the worst thing you can do to your clutch
