help me!

Does anyone know if i can put in a 3800 engine into a 1991 lumina z34? Or can anyone tell me what will fit into it other than the 3.4? My 3.4 has a rod knocking in it but i dont think it can be fixed with the motor in the car. Please help me!

Your 3.4 doesn't have pushrods - unless of course you were referring to the piston rod. But there are quite a few engines that will fit. 3.1 - 3.1 Mclaren Turbo (drool!) - 3400 pushrod - 3.8 (comes in the Lumina LTZ as well as Grand Prix GTP).

No, a 3800 cannot be put into your year Lumina. Unless you have a complete same year Regal Gran Sport donor car (the only W-body that year that offered the 3800), that you can get the engine cradle,mounts, ECM, trans, axles, complete donor engine, engine wiring harness, etc... it is WAY beyond a DIY ability to put a 3800 in a Lumina of your year.
