I have a 97 jeep grand cherokee laredo. I am having this problem with the brake light fuse blowing out causing the brake lights to fail. Obviously there is a short in there somewhere but I have not been able to locate it. I thought that I had fixed the problem because it has been fine for the past couple of months and then all of the sudden started blowing out again. Does anyone know where the most likely place the short would be caused at?

Thanks for your help

I don't know of any place to look but to find the short to ground (or any short) get an accurate ohm meter (3 decimal places) and find the lowest point in ohms (from power to ground)With no power applied (disconnect the battery). That's where the short will be. It would help to have a wiring diagram too.
