I just got some off Ebay that were advertised as "ok condition" and after delivered found them to be junk. No paint left on them, all scraped up. :banghead: I'm begining to hate Ebay. They sure looked good in the picture.

I need a set of 4 for a 1994 ( 12"). I'm looking for some that would be considered excellent condition, or at least above average.

I have 2 geos with 12 inch rims. It is very hard to find a used set with good paint. At my local junk yard, I purchased a set of 4 with little paint and lots of scratches. The scratches come out nicely with a coarse sanding sponge. I then use a medium and follow with a fine. I used a can of spay prime and then premium quality spray paint, and they turned out very nice!! I was going to have some GEO vinyl stickers made for the centers, but they look better withouth them. I will post pics later.

Sounds like I might have to break out the sandpaper, and paint. Cant wait to see your photo(s). Did you spray them silver?

A sanding sponge works 10 times better than standard sand paper.
With the set that I repainted, I went with a darger grey. It looks better on this car. I was going to put vinly letters back on the centers, but thought it looked better without them:

This car I picked up for $1,000 US it only has 52,000 miles and has working air and automatic tranny.

Also, make sure you use a good spray paint. I tried a cheap stuff, and ended up going over it with Rust-Oleum Professinal High Peformance Enamel. About $5 a can a Menards. This was much easier to work with. Unless you have chunks out of yours, just repaint them. The stock paint flakes off after 10 years or so.

Good looking hubcaps. I like how they turned out. Your Metro looks great too. Very clean! I searched for a long time to find one in good condition.

Those are some nice looking covers! Great job!:icon16:
My 96 has the 13" tires, I wouldn't mind finding some covers similar to your. Currently is has a set provided by Wal-Mart...nothing super but looks better than naked black wheels.
