I know theres alot of problems with the windows locks, ac, ball joints and transmission. but luckily since i purchased this vehicle at 60k there has been problems with the windows and ac. nothing that major, ive just overlooked the problems.
now im at 115k. and dont know what to do, would this vehicle last like my acura?
how would i check for bad ball joints and how would i know if theyre about to go. ty

I am at 112K Miles. Tranny was changed at about 85k.
Ball Joints made lots of noise when mine went bad. Went to a meineke shop to have it done (it's not easy on a 4wd & I was pressed for time). One blew a grease boot like 1 year later & was squeaking. He said yeah it needs changed again & wanted to put the same non-serviceable piece of crap back in with no break on part price or labor.
For $3 I got a grease needle fitting for my grease gun that I stuck into the already blown boot & pumped it until a little grease came out. Took a day to stop squeaking. Hasn't made a peep in about a year but when it does I will do it again.
If I did change it, I'm pretty sure there is a version from Moog that has a grease fitting so that you can service it without puncturing the boot.
Personally...I will get rid of this Durango as soon as I pay off my other vehicle. Too many reliability issues with everything & it sucks too much gas. I have the 5.9 engine.
