I just bought ( I will pick up this weekent ). 95 eagle talon TSI AWD 5 speed. with 145k mile, no smoking, no noise, very good condition engine, and tranny shift smooth, it had 97+ convertion all around ( no turbo spoiler ). Need a new paint job on those bumper ( the owner spay paint it ), I paint it black any way. so that not a big deal to me.

New parts

* 4 wheel bearings, all the way around - $600
* 4 new axles/ halfshafts - $650
* brand new calipers in the front -$300
* brand new clutch master cylinder - $80

Aftermarket parts/ upgrades

* Apexi cat back exhaust with silencer
* primax 17 inch wheels with z rated tires
* k@n high flow filter
* Greddy hard intercooler piping
* Greddy Type-S Blow Off Valve
* MAF translator and 3 inch GM mass air flow sensor set up for blow through
* Pre-wired for sirus
* Pre-wired for subs
* Aftermarket headunit set up for MP3's
* 3 Gauges - Airfuel ratio - Boost - Voltage - all in complete working order
* Custom oil catch can
* I also have LOTS of eclipse/talon parts, wheels all kinds of stuff. i can through in a HKS manual boost controler (never got a chance to put it on)
* eclipse GSX third brake light
* removed talon wing

the car is far away from me, like 15 hours away, so I need tune up before I drove it back here, I got few question ( I hate to search right now ).

Im gonna use mobil 1 10w/30 with mitsubishi oil filter or pureone oil filter
tranny : pennzoil syscro for the front, what about trasfer case , what should I use ? , I heard kevin say something like use shock proof for transfer case ?
spark plug: something like ngk.....6ES
wire : Mitsubishi spark plug wire

any thing else I miss for tune up ?? thanks.

First off, congrats on getting it! If you are boosting stock then 6es's will be fine (up to 15 psi iirc) go with seven if you're boosting any higher. I'm not sure on the tcase fluid i used like 75w-90 gear oil in my talon, that's what it says to use, i know royal purple makes gear oil.

Find out when the timing belt has been replaced last, or any belt for that matter, smoker or non smoker, (Could lower the price) What type of turbo? If it is the stock one, then you need a new one =P. good job though

Sorry i did not get back to you killer, my friend is firm on $4500. The reason is because he does not give to shits if it sells, it will be tore all apart and parted out if it does not sell. It should sell tho there is alot of shit done to it and all the new parts have less than 500 miles. Not to bad on your by besides it having 145k on it, thats 45k more than my friends. But like you said it was way to far from you :(

Good luck man with your new car.

No thats a really easy fix!!! It could pssibly be leaking from the union where it connects from the oil filter housing to the turbo. But no matter where its leaking its a real easy fix. I blew 4 T-25 turbos thats right 4!!! only becaus i had them laying around and pushing them way past there limit lol. That oil line is a piece a cake. I got so good at taking the turbo out i could have the turbo and manifold out in 20 minutes lmao

By the way the car looks sweet man!!! Very nice buy.

Why would he have a maft set up for blow through and still recirculate the bov? I can understand leaving the stock maf since he would need a new intake but that just struck me as funny

The gm maf and maft combo are a different type of air sensor. The old mass air sensor (right by the filter) can be removed and you can vent the bov wothout any problems becaue the air sensor detects air after the bov. You can get an intake that is just a pipe with a filter on the end because you don't need the stock maf.

Very nice man! Good to hear you stuck it out and didn't settle for a gst. The car looks real clean. Have fun with it :smokin:

it ok to leave every thing like the way it as on the pix ?. I dont really want messing with it right now.

gthompson97
05-23-2006, 12:07 AM
Yeah you can leave it and it will be just fine. It's just that usually when most people run mafts, they can vent so the bov is louder because it measures air after the bov, instead of before the bov, like the old sensor. Get what I'm sayin?

LouieAWDTSi

Be careful with sending money to a stranger. I'd just get down there asap, rather have 2 pay an extra bus/train ticket than lose out on a grand or whatever the downpayment be.

ps/ The car looks very good!
