99 cavalier headlight problems

i have a 99 cavalier and the driver side headlights low beam will not work i have put a new bulb in it and that still isnt working, the bulb works on the passanger side but not the drivers. we tried testing the socket to see if the bulb would be getting juice to it and it is. does anyone know why the headlight would not work.
