I recently purchased a 94 Tran Sport with the 3.1L engine.
It had been sitting up for a couple years and the A/C pulley will not turn.
I bought the belt for the model w/o Air thinking that would work to bypass the compressor but it was about an inch too big.
Is there any way to bypass this compressor or get it spinning without buying another compressor ($300).
Thanks.

The pulley wheel on the compressor should spin freely, so suspect a seized pulley bearing. A new bearing is approx $35.00 . Once the new bearing is fitted the pulley will spin but this does not mean the compressor will engage.
The problem is you need a pulley wheel extractor to remove and refit the pulley.
With right tools the job only takes a couple of hours.:p
