Looking at a new possibility car...

Looking at a 1998 Nissan Maxima with the 3.0 v-6 5 speed, white with black leather heated seats, bose stereo system :grinyes: just plain loaded to the max, 86k miles, power moon roof, i think i can get it for 6,500$ Test drove it and its a lot faster than the talon! shifts smoother than anything i've ever driven.. LOL

1998 Honda Civic red 67kmi, 5 speed, new tires, air, cruise, for 6,800$

now i kno you guys say get a dsm but im askin opion on if these cars with be dependable if you knew anyone with one or the other..

I would get a Civic probably. That one seems pretty spendy though. You wanted a convertible right? Why not a 2gb Spyder? They are pretty reliable, I think Josh (or Shpyder, cant remember) said they had one for two years and never a single problem.

My girlfriend has a Black 98 Maxima :naughty: 5-speed :naughty: loaded.... Its pretty nice, and yes they do have some balls and are pretty quick for sedans..... 190hp 205tq not too shabby.

Actually, I like almost all the Nissan's. I think they make nice cars. If i was gonna get a small suv, I'd probably get the Murano. If I was gonna get a sedan, I'd get the new Altima. If I was gonna get a sports car, I'd get the 350z (daytona blue enthusiast edition :)) The only ones I don't really like are the pickup and the van looking thing.

A good friend of mine has the same max you decribed above... Very nice car.

All I would use a Altima/Maxima is for hitting deer :lol:. Just playing guys. If I were to get a car other than a DSM, it would definately be a 240 or 300zx and the 350z's are definately sexy cars. I guess it is only the Altima's and Maxima's I dont like.

I would get a 240 and do a slyvia(sp) s14 conversion on it and swap in either a 2jz or a rb20 possibly a rb26

My ex-gf had a auto maxima and they would get up and go. Much faster than you would think. Nissans have some fast and high revving engines.

BUT, that civic is pretty cheap, taking into account the mileage, etc... Flip a coin.

There are some farmers around here that let you store things in the sheds for like $30 a month and my grandma has a huge farm but shes retired and would probably let you store you car there for pretty cheap and we might be getting another house/land right on the outskirts on austin that has a large garage that I plan on sticking the talon it and there might be room for two lol
