I've decided to sell my 1991 Firebird Formula Pro/Am. It is green but needs paint has a cool cowl hood, but different from bumper that is black, but badly faded, needs a right front fender and a dent fixed in the door, interior is decent. 331 in the pro/am series. The motor is a TBI 305 (bored, decked, align honed blanaced, etc. Higher comperssion, roller cam) the motor has about 2k on it since rebuild and the car itself has less the 69k on it. Thanks for the help!
Jake

I'd check ebay or other auctions for comparable cars. The biggest thing will be the condition of the body which sounds like it needs help. The fact that the engine has been freshened is a plus however don't ever plan on getting your money back for mods. I hate to say it but you're going to have a limited audience and probably going to end up with a pretty low dollar

Built motor, bum body, somewhere round 2K tops.

Nah, the 3rd gens are going up in value. A lot depends on rust factor and interior as well. If the seats are torn, dash is cracked, etc, the value goes way down. The fact that it needs paint only hurts because a decent paint job costs upwards of $2K to do the door jams, sills, etc. If they strip everything to do it completely properly, youre looking at like $10K. The car has low miles overall though, and the new motor will help too. Id say your closer to being able to ask $4K...see where they go from there. Thats assuming that the only issue is with bodywork. If theres rust or the interior is hurting anywhere then its going to be lower. Dont be shocked though if you have to settle for between $3-4K...

Well, like I said, depends on overall condition. Also depends on how long youre willing to hold it to get your price. You should be able to sell it for $1000 as long as it runs and drives well. Pics would help...

Without pics and based soleley on thie description I would expect to pay 2K in this area. My brother in laws GTA would be in near perfect condition with a little elbow grease and he still can't get over 4k for it. :dunno:
