Odd Audio problem

Car: '99 Maxima SE
Audio: Factory Bose Cd/Cassette

Problem: The CD player works fine until it gets relatively warm (either by running for a while or by hot weather). Once it gets nice 'n warm, it starts producing a fair amout of static. The amount of static increases as the temp goes up until you get nothing else. It then indicates "error" and stops playing.
No issues at all when cool. Oddly, the radio and cassete deck (using a portable CD adapter ... who has cassettes these days) do not seem to be affected by this.

Has anyone seen this? This is a major pain in the butt, especially in the summer time!

i had the same problem. you have a bose system right? The nissan guys told me they couldn't do nothing about it. i ended up buying a kenwood deck with tape deck and cd player.

I've just installed a brand new JVC CD+Cassette Player...
It also plays MP3 files!!!!!!!!:flipa:

no problems happend with my stock Cassette player, but ya know, when I get a lot of money, I Spend it on something good before it goes here and there, then I stay with no money.
