BFG AT last fairly long on the pavement, and are still pretty good off road tires.
That's coming from someone that doesn't really like them as well

I agree they last fairly long but once they do go they are for crap. What I mean is that they just start to slide all around when the wear gets down just ever so slightly. My wife had them on her Durango and in the snow in IL they were ASS! But New they were great.

Mine basicly need replacing as soon as I'm dione my next road trip, and I haven't had any problems like that.
Although I did notice that they lock up easily on wet roads.

It might be the way that I drive, or the fact that I have limited power with the 2.8L

Yes thats what they would do on the Durango is lock up eaiser than normal. Now dont get me wrong they are a good tire I just didnt feel all that safe when it was bad conditions out. BUT then again now that I think about it.... We were in a Durango so I probably shouldnt have felt safe anyway.. lol

I just had my mom purchase the Dunlop Radial Rover A/T and they are quiet and have plenty of traction in the rain. I owned a set of Kumho Road Venture 825 A/T's and they were awesome except for wear. I would say the best tires I have heard reviews on and seen is the Bridgestone Dueller A/T Revo's. I would check out www.tirerack.com or www.1010tires.com. Good luck!!!

BlazerBoy, I had to make sure that you weren't Canadian after putting a Canadian Tire Store's link.
1010 tires is located in my province, and I'll be driving past it in a week or 2

Nope not Canadian but it is a decent website.

Had Michelin LTX ATs and they got over 50k and were great both on and off road but C rated so stiffer ride. Had Cross Terains also but less off road and more highway but longer lasting and smoother. Both expensive so now back to the Uniroyal Laredos and they are much cheaper and last almost as long and seen to flex well so fairly smooth.

I hate the Uniroyal tires. My mothers blazer had them and they dry rotted after 3 years and were very dangerous.

I believe that Uniroyals are made by the same company as BFG are now. They used to be really good but don't apear to make a truck tire any more

I have the BFG All Terrain T/A's and I have just about 30K on them and there is almost no sign of wear. They are C rated and I keep them at like 45psi

I have cooper discoverer LTs and have had great results. Over 80K with the last set and this set has over 70 with plenty of tread left.

I'm real happy with my Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's. They are a tad pricey as someone said, but shop around and you can get a good deal. I paid $600 CAD for mine. I think they have a rebate going on now, but it might end in the next few days. Check out www.tirerack.com.

I just got a set of Daytona Quadra's- I was also considering the Duelers, numerous tire shops told me the Daytona's were better.

well i can say the 30 9.5 mud tires i have fit nicely however off roading i would say the 2 doors are better then the 4 doors due to the shorter wheelbase plus the 4 door has those hump that goes down a extra 2 or 3 inchs on the rear part of the frame before the tires (witch can drag it on objects) and it does pretty damn good however if i were to mod it to make it better off roading 1st thing i would do is add a e-locker that is open and locked on demand on the rear and maybe front if they make em for front then i would add a lift kit for more ground clearance then i would put a whinch on for times i get stupid or others for that matter but as much as i hate to say it jeeps are better when it comes to off roading out the box
