well ive been lookin for cars and my parents insist on somethin w/ good gas mileage. ive looked at a few talons and i was wondering how much power i could get out of a non turbo one if i put a turbo version intake manifold, turbo version fuel rail, and then a bored 60mm throttle body on it. along w/ a header and 2 1/4" exhaust (deleted cat and 6" can muffler) ill also have some sort of cold air intake on it ofcourse. will this be a pretty peppy four cyl? thnx for any help.

First of all, what year car are you looking at?
Second, had you searched, you would have found the answer to half your questions and not made yourself sound like a honda racer and already known that Eclipses and Talons come with 2 1/4" exhaust.
Third, the turbo intake manifold and fuel rails would be a retarded ass idea. If it's a 90-94, you already have a 60mm throttle body. If it's a 95-99, you could bore it out, but unless you have a ported head with a header and full 2 1/2" exhaust, you'll get minimal, if any, gains out of it. You'll need some sort of muffler instead of your "ricer 6" coffee can exhaust tip," so I'd look into some good mufflers. Unless you like the ricer/dirtbike sound.
Fourth, NO n/t DSM is going to be "peppy" without smart and worthwhile mods. Half of the ones you are talking about would just put you in the "ricer" stage and would not actually do anything performance-wise. If you want a real performance write-up, check these out.

That was my polite version. I came into this world a dick, and will leave a dick. In the meantime, I'm going to be a dick. Thanks and have a nice day.

 This is a funny thread. Never seen a newb call a regular a dick and not get the shit flamed out of him. Good deal. However, gthomson wasnt exactly a dick I didnt think, I thought it was pretty nice actually. A lot niced than I would have been ;). Just get a turbo, bud. Tell them Thor said they get like 25 city/32 highway ;).

You could even just get a turbo model rather than dealing with turboing an RS/GS. I got an avg. 26mpg with AC on going from MA to FL. My 4 cylinder has plenty of pep :).

Here's the deal power on a n/t is not gonna happen. With the money you'd spend to get to the stock hp of a turbo (210 2g, 195 1gs) you could have a 350hp monster, not to mention if you had awd it would be a lot better. If you don't drive like a complete ass (like i do) you can get decent mileage on a turbo, probably pretty close to the n/a's.
EDIT: Alright i just checked and here's some number from 95, gsx (turbo awd) 19 city 25 highway, gst (turbo fwd) 21 city 27 highway, gs (non turbo) 22 city 32 highway. I think it's clear what you need.

All the mods that help the engine breath get better mileage but the better it breaths the more your foot presses the gas so you don't get better mileage in the long run.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! Does it have a jet engine or what!?!? Good luck even getting $2k for it. And if it's not turbo you won't have ANY luck selling it on here, especially at ungodly prices like that.

Yeah dude, for real. Even if you listed a reasonable price, you didnt list milage, turbo/nt, manual/auto, color, FWD/AWD. Who would buy something (or even call for that matter) that they dont know jack shit about? Only fucking morons would pay that much for it, really desperate people would pay about $2000 for it, and the average guy would probably drop like $1000-$1500 for it assuming its manual AWD.

Before the $3000 talon guy gets ripped apart, I better lock this thing.
