Broken Door Handle Again

The driver's side door handle broke off in the winter, and since then I have been opening my door through the passenger side. I have finally decided it is time to fix the door handle. I have a new one ordered..so I was wondering, since I am sure I won't be able to figure it out on my own, does anyone have a manual lying around that would have the door handle in it? I have a Chilton's manual but it's 600 pages of info only on vacuum tubes that are in the engine...

Or if you don't, let me know of a site with a number of manuals for different things because I can't find one.

Replacing the door handle isn't all that terribly hard. Just pull off the interior panel and there are some bolts holding it on from the backside of the door. If you look at it long enough you'll figure it out. I don't think there are any manuals out there with door handle instructions in them. Check the Vfaq or Tuners for a writeup.

Where did you get the handle from? I was checking the dealer and they are like $55 but that's painted so i think i might just get one of those.

Nah man get it off e-bay. There are some on there for like 33 bucks that are already painted, and also ones that are carbon fiber so it won't break off when it is -48 degrees outside like when mine broke:banghead:

That makes no sense.

Do a search, there are a bunch of threads I posted a link to a write-up in and I don't feel like finding it and posting it for like the 5th time.

I got my handle off ebay from a dealer for $60 shipped and it was painted the stock black color.

I did a quick search and found nothing but i think i'll look into making them. I don't think it would be very hard.

I think the link for the stainless ones is somewhere in the Tuners tech articles.
