1994 BRAVADA:- For six months now I have had ongoing problems with SERVICE ENGINE SOON light, rough idle, stalling, lagging acceleration. Have diagnosed codes many times, and each time is a different code. She runs just fine at cruising speed, and only fails in Idle. So far have repaired every faulty item, and still no solution. Also seems to lose brake power when stalling out or idling rough, now ABS light is coming on periodically. WHAT DO I TRY NEXT?????? Runs perfectly for about 1 hour after each repair, then almost in an instant or on restart, all problems return. Its not safe to drive, and Im going MAD trying to work this out. PLEASE HELP.....:screwy: :screwy: :screwy:

sounds like a dirty EGR valve or it could be something as simple as a stuck PCV valve, what are the codes and what have you done so far?

Add to the list: Replaced PCV valve and checked hoses, replaced o2 sensor, engine temp sensor and EGR valve. Still the same problem.......... We used a supposedly reconditioned EGR valve....could this be the problem still, or any other ideas. I thinking about the scrapheap for this car....:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

pay attention to Chris' first responce, good diagnostic info there.
also while you have the intake off it's a good time to take a look at the distributor.
