I destroyed my SRT-4 not too long ago, and went down a few days ago and bought a sweet new one. well, not new. it is an '05, bright orange, unmolested SRT-4.....all the brakes are still on it, but i found a small problem with it. i drove my wifes car down to pick it up...and once behind the wheel, i was fine. i was able to get off the parking lot, but from somewhere in the back of my mind, i think i am afraid of the car. not really afraid of it, but it is more to do with what if the turbo just bounces for no damn reason. found out that was one of my problems with the other one. turbo bounced, causing me to slide, and with only front brakes, the car would not stop. but, i want to change-up everything on this one. only i want to keep the rear brakes. i just want bigger rears, and fronts. anyone know if any company makes a big brake/rotor kit for the SRT-4? i just ned to make sure i have brakes this time....but, if someone knows about the brake kit, let me know, post a link, something.....
thanx

turbo bounced? please clarify.
teh srt4 is one of the best braking cars on the market. 60-0 in less than 112ft is supercar status. infact its better than a lamborghini mercialago!!!
the wilwood kit is AWESOME!!! i love mine, expect teh black kit to run you around $600 and the red caliper kit to run you $700. if you want to go crazy, stoptech makes 2 kits as well. basic 4piston calipers are around $1500-2000 and the 6piston is $2500 or so.
to be honest, for your money, if your not going to be tracking it, is to go with powerslot rotors and hawk hps pads. cheap and very effective upgrade.
for the rear, no one makes a larger kit that will still maintain your emergency brake, they are track/race only kits.
willing to bet that if you were to invest in a set of hotchkis swaybars a lot of your problems with the balance of the car will be solved. the bars are the best on the market and are not too expensive. can be found for $260ish dollars. pm me if you want the cheapest spot to get them. i worked with hotchkis to design these and they will keep all 4 tires on the ground more effectivly, helping in keeping the car planted.
also, braking is made more from the tires than the brakes itself. you can have the best brakes on earth, but if your running small crappy tires, you wont stop. go wider tires that match your environment the best and you will stop better also
