i found this '95 gst/auto at this dealer ship and it has (apparently) 42000 "original" miles but it really doens't look like it is anywhere close to the ten thousand the guy is asking for. half of the car has a new paint look and the other half the trim are different colors. the heat sheilds look new and there is like "glue" on some spots. it has one new head light and one old. oil is leaking or seeping through the valve cover. the power mirrors barely work and the leather is worn out. the turbo works but seems weak unless you need it to build pressure(i wouldn't know). i have seen this car sitting on the lot for the fast 4-5 months too. when i was talking to the guy to see what kind of deal i could get and i told him that it's not worth 10k he got annoyed/pissed. i have also heard that eclipses experience "crank walk" or spun bearings around 100-120k and the block and eveything has to be replaced. right now i have a '95 sunfire 2.2l and i'm looking for a car with more zoom and was wondering if i could get an even trade out of this guy would it be worth it? because frankly if i had 10k i wouldn't be looking at a 11 year old car. i couldn't care if its a import or domestic but i do like me some sport compacts. now all i need is info and not a domestic/import battle. i also know that eclipses will cost more then the sunfire but 10k for a '95 is ridiculous for any used car unless it is like new and this definitely car isn't.

10k is absolutely insane. I know thats low miles but it's not that low. I'm sure you could get a 99 gsx for 10k. Try finding a 2g with a 6bolt in it that way you have piece of mind on the crank walk subject.

I wouldn't think twice about buying that car, it's nothing but a pile of junk. Find yourself a DSM in nice shape, and you can find them for WAY less than 10k. A 95 in good condition should go for ~5k

my 97 gst manual spyder (fully loaded) with low milage (58k), body in much better shape then that it just has a keymark and a few dings only ran me 7600 after taxes and tags. I got it from the dealer for 6900. You can do much better then 10k.

but if you want I'll sell you my spyder for 11k since it's in slightly better shape :p j/k

Yah just smack the prick guy selling the car, find an awesome 1G that has rebuilt stuff in it, and mod the hell out of it, and you will think to myself, "What have I been driving my whole life?" It will make you smile each time you hear a big turbo spool. Save some money, find a 91 in good condtion, and mod it.

alright, thanks for all of your advice, i always wanted, at least, a gst and i was hoping i could battle the guy down, but i doubt that. plus i don't know that much about eclipses, just enough to get me by and wanted adivce from people that own them. i'll save my time and money on something better later.
