302 to 351

yeah so i got ahold of a 351 windsor for free.... umm my truck has the 302 in it..what all am i gonna need to do to put this 351 in there? its carb and my 302 is FI. so what all am i gonna need? and would my 302 5spd tranny bolt to the 351?

Going from efi to carburated will require a fuel pressure regulator and a pressure gauge.You can use the same xmsn,with some possibility of slight modification to the shift linkage.After that all you have to do is figure out which wires you dont need any more.I converted a 91 inline 6 efi to a 302 carburated and it still runs today.The only thing was that the 302 was origonally an efi engine and I had to stay with the electric fuel pump which puts out way too much pressure for a carb,hence the regulator and gauge.Good luck
