engine question

hey, how hard would it be to put a 5.0 engine from a fox body into a 67mustang? Would it be cheaper to run it as a track car with the 5.0 due to the huge aftermarket with it, or would be easier to not pull a switch? This is just a vague question outa curiousity because im trying to put together a plan for a track car. thanks

I know they make a kit to do so but I am not sure what it entails to do so.

how much power are you looking to make? the 5.0 wont take a whole lot more than 500whp

my ultimate goal is to have a car making around the neighborhood of 700whp, that could be a track car/weekend night cruising type of car. TheStang00 what type of engine do you think would be best to go with to have solid reliable power, and would it be wiser to go with a crate engine, or go for the rebuild?

to tell you the truth other guys are more knowledgable on here than me on that, but im pretty sure that a 351 (5.8l) would be able to make that power.

im not sure, but you might be able to find a crate 5.0 that has a stronger block.

Just wondering if you have a 67 what engine/valve number do you have? I think they made 4 different types right?
