We all know how bad the movies suck, the worst acting ever, and the rice is ridiculous. However, Im sure alot of us could watch the movie and now the words to atleast one seen in each of the first two. My questions are:
1. Why is it that despite how bad the first two were why do we still watch them?
2. Why are most of us here probably going to go see the third one?

Although we do have a discussion on fast and the furious on the movie/television forum.. i can say that we all go see the movies just to see the cars and even though we hate it we see it because it is a movie and want to see how bad it is so we can talk crap about it later.

I'm going to ram my head through a wall if I have to suffer through another F&F3 thread.
The answer to your question is that there is a severe lack of custom car/ street racing movies, therefor we only have one provider to flock to. Its like how some neighborhoods have one electricity provider, crappy or not you have to buy from them.
And before anybody says this stupid shit again, this movie will not ruin drifting. Drifting is already huge and it won't get much bigger because not every 16 year old with a beater Hachi-Roku can drift. They fuck up one time and its over, they learn their lesson. Drifting gets enough publicity from D1, Formula D, television, DVDs, videogames, magazines, etc. Some bullshit movie with poser white boys and midget rappers is not going to expand the drift scene much more than it already is. GAWD.

I saw the first one, it was so-so. definitely not interesting enough to watch again. I never saw the second. Probly won't see the third. The idea of it just doesn't interest me. I'm not into flashy cars, I like stealth style cars all black (except for heads and taillights) no wings/bodykits/ loud exhausts etc. nothing too eye catching.

our golf's a bit of a sleeper, everyone thinks it's slow, pulls pretty fast for a small car. obviously not as fast as other cars on the road but quick none-the-less. and it can spin the fronts off the line.
F&F sucks, but we'll still watch it.

Haha, ouch.
I'm going to see it with a bunch of people from the local motor club with RWD cars. We're all going to line up with for sale signs on our cars for shits and giggles. I'm going to see a movie to watch a few of my favourite cars. Even if they are really flashy, deep down, it's still a car. All I can see is that it's true about what was said about how the movie isn't going to expand the popularity of drifting. If anything, it'll suffocate itself because the movie came by too late after the fame of drifting. A movie's a movie though.
The only thing I know for sure, is that there's going to be a bunch of pimped out Nissans at the theaters the second the movie comes out

yes... didn't like it. (compared to the original, i loved the original)
also, i'm not gonna waste my 10 bux on F&F. i'll watch it when its out on video. i'll save judgement, but as i didn't exactly like the first two, i'm pretty sure i won't like this one... as a movie. i'm sure i'll enjoy some of the race scenes. The last race in the first one, when Vin Diesel gets pwned by the train, that was nice.

no2 is not explosive. just like oxygen is not explosive. but if you put it in a closed container under pressure and heat it up you will get a nice explosion.

no. the rule does not apply for all gases.
like argon for exaple, most light bulbs are filled with argon because it is inert (unreactive) so the filament doesn't burn (it can reach over 1000 deg. C or 1830 deg. F) if there was air in the bulb the filament would burn. CO2 is used because it cools the charge temperature and therefore allows more air in, and the decrease in heat and increase in intake volume the power and efficiency of the engine is increase. (power not by much though, this is really a safety measure.)

I heard that they tried to get some of the previous actors to do part III, most of which were quite hesitant.…..

Of course Hollywood being what it is, can’t help trying to squeeze blood out of a rock just one more time…

the only thing that made the movies bearable was paul walker mmm mmm. hehehe i got stuck watching one of these F&F movies. i only went along with it cuz they fed me popcorn to shut me up. and then some guy kept trying to touch me. so i spent most of the movie trying to get away from his nasty ass...:banghead: not like i really wanted to watch the movie but u get the point. and was it one of these movies where that really sexy ripped guy took his shirt off and punched thru some car window?
oh and no i won't go see this movie. no hot guys in it this time i heard..what a shame. and i don't like rice.

You all are acting like little boys afraid of girls.
EWWW THAT MOVIE HAS COOTIES!!!!
shut up. it's a movie. It's a cool movie. You're all just jealous because you aren't getting movies made about YOUR style. Rice is obviously not MY style either, but gimme a break. It's a car/action movie. You're complaining about the acting? None of you can act any better than paul walker anyways. You're all pathetic. Intimidated by a rice movie... lame.

i've seen it done, but only in snow. i'd never try that shit on dry tarmac.
EVO magazine did a thing to improve a car's 1/4 mile time. they put it on a trailer and used different SUVs to tow it! they took like 7 seconds off its time or something.

i've done it a few times in my mom's ford escape. but only in the snow. it was fun one time i slid across the road turning onto a street at an intersection *it was like 2 am so no one was around* and slid so far i set off the traffic sensor and switched the lights.
i haven't done any snow drifting after i missed going headfirst into a creek in my lumina by a few feet. slid around a corner and just kept turning :( some cute guy stopped to help me right away tho so it was ok.
