I made a post about cams, I couldnt figure out what to do. I figured it out now and I canted figure out how to delete the post so if a mod could get rid of this for, I would appreciate that.

I'm going to put in an offer on the FP2's. I dont want to F around with some reground cams when I could get brand new ones for like $40 (hopefully less) more. When I get home from running errands, I think I am going to do it.

The school is paying for it?!? BITCH! ;) If you are going to run a monster setup, I vote for FP2x's or FP3x's. Since I am on stock springs/retaineres I am just going FP2's.

The dks's worked great until my timing belt skipped :( i would really recommend ffwdconnection.com soley on the fact that darren is awesome and very helpful. He gave me some discounts on the engine parts i ordered because i was a returning costumer. His explanation of why regrinds are better; he said they have gone through thousands of cooling and heating cycles, this essentially tests the cams' durability, these cams are "proven" and therefore better than brand new cams, because they could have unknown imperfections, that will only arise after several thousand miles.

Hey EZ, what did actually happen to your car? You said it was some oil pressure shit, and I believe it was me who told you to check timing, am I correct? :)

Well yeah it was timing (it was off like a tooth so i couldn't really tell) but the pistons have small kisses on them from the valves. I posted about this somewhere, it really had nothing to do with the cams though, except maybe if i had oem cams 1 tooth may not have made the valves hit. Now i'm stroking my engine. I'm getting my valves and springs tomorrow (1mm oversized stainless si valves)

Just remember with the oversized vavles there's even more valve-piston overlap so there is that much less clearance.

or maybe you shouldn't be such a douche next time, I don't that is just how I feel. I hate you. get the DKS, they know what they are doing, but they are half as much as HomoKS.
